Eindhoven-based medtech company Xeltis raises €20.5 million

Eindhoven-based medtech company Xeltis announced on July 28, 2026, that it has raised €20.5 million in additional funding. The investment round was led by Horizon 3 Healthcare and also received support from the European Innovation Council (EIC), Invest-NL, VI Partners, EQT Life Sciences, DaVita, and other existing shareholders.  

Xeltis was founded in 2006 and has its headquarters in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, with operations in Europe and the United States. Xeltis develops medical implants that are transformed by the body into living, native tissue. The company focuses primarily on solutions for patients with vascular disease and kidney dialysis. The technology is based on its proprietary RestoreX® platform, in which an implant is gradually replaced by the body's own tissue. The flagship product aXess™ was developed for vascular access in hemodialysis patients.

Part of the new funding will be used to complete the ongoing US clinical trial of aXess™. In addition, Xeltis is using the capital to prepare for an FDA application and a commercial market launch in the United States. The investment also supports the further commercial rollout of aXess™ in Europe. Furthermore, investments are being made in scaling up production capacity. Finally, Xeltis is using the funds for the further development of the clinical programs.
