VitalFluid raises €17.2 million
VitalFluid raises €17.2 million from Invest-NL, Alder Tree Investments, Horticoop, BOM, Future Food Fund, Graduate Ventures, Innovation Industries, VDL Groep, Goeie Grutten Impact Fonds and RVO.
VitalFluid develops technology based on Plasma Activated Water (PAW). This solution offers an alternative to chemical crop protection products. The system uses only water, air, and electricity. It helps growers combat fungal diseases without harmful residues.
The technology is already being applied commercially by British strawberry growers. The company is a spin-off of Eindhoven University of Technology.
The investment supports international growth. VitalFluid aims to expand further in the United Kingdom. Entry into the US market is also planned. Additionally, the technology is being adapted for more crops, such as apples and grapes.
