AI company General Intuition raises $320 million
General Intuition raises $320 million from Khosla Ventures, General Catalyst, and Jeff Bezos and Eric Schmidt.
General Intuition was founded in 2025 by, among others, the Dutchman Pim de Witte. The company has an office in New York and is legally domiciled in the Netherlands.
General Intuition develops advanced artificial intelligence that not only understands text but can also perform actions in space and time. The company focuses on so-called “action models” and “world models” that teach AI agents how to behave in dynamic environments. To do this, it uses vast amounts of data from its video game business ( Medal.tv ), including billions of gameplay clips. This data helps the models develop spatial insight and intuitive behavior, comparable to human experience. The technology can be applied in sectors such as robotics, autonomous vehicles, and simulations.
The newly raised funds will be primarily deployed to expand computing power and infrastructure. In addition, the company is investing in training new generations of AI models. A portion of the money will also be used to attract talent and further grow the team. With this, General Intuition aims to strengthen its position as a player in frontier AI. Ultimately, the goal is to build AI systems that can act autonomously in both virtual and physical worlds.
