Proof of Concept Funding for Startups
The Proof of Concept (PoC) Funding is a loan with favourable conditions from the government to support Startups to proof their technology and idea is feasible for the market. This is done by a PoC.
How much?
You can get a loan for 100% of the Proof-of-concept costs, up to a maximum of € 350.000. The interest rate is 4.82% (set as of 1 January 2018). Repayment of loan and interest starts 3 years after you finished the PoC.
Do I qualify?
Startups with a WBSO beschikking can apply for a Proof-of-concept (PoC) funding. They can get a loan for 100% of the Proof-of-concept costs, up to a maximum of € 350.000. The startups must have a letter of intent from a investor to fund the phase after the PoC. The investor should at least match the same amount as the PoC loan.
How do I qualify for PoC funding
- You did not start the PoC
- The PoC takes no longer than 2 years
- You have a new/disruptive idea
- The company has a WBSO ' beschikking'
- The PoC costs are at least € 50K and maximum € 350K
- You have a letter of intent from a Venture Capitalist to invest after the PoC
- You are located in the Netherlands and have a Dutch entity.
